“And say: "Work (righteousness): Soon will Allah observe your work, and His Messenger, and the Believers…”
Introduction to Al-Ghadeer Benevolent Foundation
Al-Ghadeer is an Islamic and cultural foundation. The base of its work is the Islamic faith stemming from the Quran and the Sunnah, based on the verse: “And say: "Work (righteousness): Soon will Allah observe your work, and His Messenger, and the Believers…” {repentance: 105} Al-Ghadeer Foundation is registered in the United States as a charitable tax exempt foundation. In a country hungry to Islam spirits, the Foundation hopes to achieve several Islamic and cultural objectives, through the dissemination of the true Islamic inspiration and beliefsc, to serve and reach out to the Muslim community in general and the Shiaa community in particular.
Al-Ghadeer Benevolent Foundation in the United States aims at:
Establishing the Islamic Center of Al-Ghadeer in New York and New Jersey to serve the Muslim community in general and the Shia community in particular, and all nationalities living in New Jersey due to the lack of an Islamic center that spread the thoughts and beliefs of Ahlulbayt (AS).
Establishing schools to be parts of the Center to teach Islamic studies, Quran, Arabic language, and Fiqh of Ahlulbayt (AS) on Saturdays and Sundays.
We are ambitious and hopeful to create the foundation of proper guidance and the basis of Islam represented by the official academic school recognized by the U.S. Department of Education. Throughout these schools, we aim at providing the students with high levels of education that include various academic and Hawza specialties, and developing their capabilities and qualifications at the highest levels of academic education to be the optimal models of the teachings of our religion.
Spreading the true Islamic beliefs and knowledge to various parts of the United States in collaboration with other Islamic centers through many means including:
celebrating the Islamic events and ceremonies in general and the Shia in particular.
Educating the Muslim youths.
Organizing conferences, scientific meetings, and seminars.
Printing and publishing the Islamic and Cultural Al-Ghadeer Magazine monthly.
Responding to all the religious questions and suspicions that are raised against Islam and its true beliefs.
Communicating with prisoners and responding to some of their spiritual and ideological needs and guide them to the straight path.
Achievements
We were able within a short period of time to make some achievements that indicated an urgent need and great expectations. For example:
Publishing the Al-Ghadeer monthly magazine and distribute it for free to members of the community. The Magazine has received widespread praise.
Convening meetings among members of the community, under the auspices of the Foundation, to reach the best formulas of collaborative team work.
Celebrating some of religious occasions, associated with the traditions of the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) and the path of Ahlulbayt (AS).
